ABIGAIL ASRINA
Is an animator, self-taught character designer, visual development artist and filmmaker. Being an indigenous kid from Borneo Island, she connects deeply with storytelling. Her animated works are primarily driven by surrealism, escapism and wacky experimental themes.
Abigail is currently building her career as an artist working in the animation industry and as a film director. She is based in Malaysia, with international clients from New Zealand and the UK. It took her a while to realize that there was an entire industry behind the animated movies she watched growing up. Now, her dreams include being able to spearhead her own projects and getting her IPs out for everyone to enjoy (be it in festival circuits, commercial animation or graphic novels). For now, she is humbly learning from the more experienced creatives in the field.
EDUCATION
